The homeowners basement was finished and had water coming into it. Water coming into any basement is not a good situation, but water coming into a finished basement can do a lot of damage to personal belongings.
Our professional team decided that WaterGuard long lasting interior perimeter drainage system was the best solution for this wet basement. The WaterGuard system sits on the top of the footing to prevent clogging because of mud. The drainage system traps floor and wall seepage and directs that water straight to the sump pump. The sump pump then effectively removes the water from the home.
In the before picture you see the small trench that needs to be dug along the perimeter of your basement to make room for the product. In the after picture you see the installation after it is all finished with a fresh layer of concrete to make your basement look clean and beautiful.
When heavy rainfalls happened, the owners of this basement would usually find puddles on the floor afterwards. Not wanting to ruin a finished basement for a repair, the system design specialist suggested our EverLast Finished Wall Restoration System as a solution. The EverLast system covers the bottom 32 inches of basement walls and drains water behind the panels. To make this happen, a perimeter drainage system was installed at the foot of the walls that would collect any runoff. Once the drywall of the original walls was cut away, a vapor barrier was installed that would direct any water to the perimeter WaterGuard system. Finally, after the vapor barrier was in place, the EverLast panels were attached using metal studs. The EverLast system makes this basement look great and stay dry at the same time!
The problem with traditional basement window wells is the material they’re made of. Metal wells can be corroded, rusted or cracked by the weather and elements. The effects are only amplified when you consider that these wells are a few feet deep in soil. Once the wells have finally taken enough of a beating, water is able to push its way in.
These Gaylord, MI homeowners were dealing with that exact type of problem when we heard from them. Not only were the cracks allowing water to leak into the wells, the water had started to flood into their basement. Our replacement wells are made of plastic that won’t be eroded by the elements, so the cracks that let water seep in will be a thing of the past. Nor will they rust from the inside out; The wells come equipped with a plastic cover that won’t allow rain water or debris to build up. Replacing the rusted metal wells should be enough to solve the problem once and for all, but just in case leaks persist in another area of the basement, the team also installed a waterproofing system (including a window crack drain) to keep the house protected.
If you have a wet crawlspace, odds are that you need a dehumidifier. Your best option? Our patented SaniDry Sedona crawl space dehumidifier. SaniDry is a self-draining dehumidifier, meaning that it can take up 109 pints of water per day without you having to empty its collection tray. It filters the water to your sump pump or dry well or can even be connected to a special condensation pump to discharge the water outside. On top of that, its powerful 300 CFM blowing motor will circulate air throughout your damp crawl space, keeping it dry at all times. This Gaylord, MI family made the choice to get the SaniDry Sedona and now do not have to be concerned about moisture in their crawl space's air.
A business in Gaylord, MI, faced ongoing water intrusion every time there was heavy rain. Water seeped through a crack in the wall near a window, putting the mechanical room, which was home to vital equipment, at risk. With each storm, the threat of water damage grew, highlighting the need for a lasting solution.
Recognizing the urgency, one of our System Design Specialists conducted an inspection and proposed a comprehensive waterproofing solution for the board. The plan included WaterGuard, a perimeter drainage system that would capture water before it could reach the floor and redirect it to the sump pump. The TripleSafe Sump Pump, with its three layers of protection, would ensure efficient water removal even during the heaviest storms. Lastly, the CleanSpace Wall System would serve as a vapor barrier, preventing moisture from seeping through the walls and keeping the mechanical room dry and clean.
Once the project was completed, our lead installer walked the customer through the space to confirm everything met their expectations. The customer was thrilled to know the mechanical room would stay dry, the building was fully protected, and the entire system provided peace of mind that the problem was solved. Now, instead of stressing over water damage, the business can focus on its customers!
