Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

Jeff and Pam were looking to install an egress window and well. Once the team at Ayers had conducted an inspection, they reviewed the results with the couple. The couple decided to install the Rockwell window cover and well to provide a watertight seal! The installation crew at Ayers got right to work, established the window in the foundation, and then implemented the Rockwell systems! Jeff and Pam were thrilled with how the job turned out and looked!

The owners of this home were looking to make an upgrade from their previous window and well. As you can see in the before photo, the old well was made from metal. Metal wells can be a disaster when it comes to erosion and allowing water to come through.

As a replacement, our crew put in the plastic SunHouse well in the after photo. It’s made from inorganic plastic that won’t rust or allow water to permeate through. Neither the crew nor the owners were sure which egress cover would be preferred. So, the crew took both a dome and flat lid with them and allowed the owners to decide. Both options are airtight and won’t allow water or any type of debris to pass through. As you can see, the owner’s elected to go with the dome option. Either option would have been great for the home and will stand tough to water.

Rob called our team because he was looking for a sump pump system, so our team installed TripleSafe. TripleSafe is a sump pump system that’s main goal is to keep your basement dry. This system provides the ultimate protection because it has three pumps in order to handle your highest pumping demands. In addition, one of the pumps is battery powered so that the system will continue running even during power outages.

Rob called our team because he wanted to prevent his basement from flooding even during the cold Michigan winters. So our team installed the IceGuard Sump Pump Discharge Line System. This system allows water to leave even when the discharge line is frozen. Therefore, this system prevents flooding even in freezing temperatures or when the snow is piled up high. Lastly, this system is totally automatic so Rob won’t have to worry about when he should turn it on or off.

Our experts visited her home and recommended installing an egress window to provide easy escapes during emergencies. Egress windows hold back soil and water while preventing surface falls, with a polycarbonate safety cover. The cover is also built to be stepped on without collapsing, to increase safety. Jami feels safe in her basement now!
