This Harrison, MI home had just been put on the market when the owners were told that the crawl space would need to be dried out before the home could be sold. Looking for a solution that would satisfy both the inspector and buyers without breaking the bank, the owners gave Ayers a call.
To pump water out and keep it that way, the crew installed a SmartSump. The sump will collect any water that enters the crawl space and direct it outside for drainage. Before completing the job, the crew covered the drainage pipe seen in the after photo with gravel. The owners chose to go with the 1/3 horse power pump which is capable of pumping out 2,500 gallons per hour. With any water that passes through the dirt floor being swiftly removed, this crawl space will no longer hinder sales.
Dennis was worried about water moisture running down the walls and floors of his basement. He wasn't sure how to remedy the issue, so he called Ayers to learn about our waterproofing solutions. We sent a crew of experts to his home to evaluate the problem and recommend a solution. They decided the best solution for Dennis was the DryTrak system. DryTrak is designed to collect leakage from walls and the floor wall joint. The water then drains directly into the drainage system beneath the floor. Dennis is happy his home is now protected from floor leaks and wall seepage!
Marcia noticed cracks in her basement walls and water on her floors as a result. Wanting a fast solution, she contacted Ayers to have her home inspected. Our resident foreman Bruce was able to inspect the home and discovered the home's Supportworks had suffered water damage.
Bruce Drafted a treatment plan that Marcia agreed upon and got to work. He 1ist installed a new sump pump to replace the old one; the Ayers trusted TripleSafe model has 3 levels of safety. He then placed a WaterGaurd drainage system under the basement floor and lined the walls with a PowerBrace set to reinforce the compromised foundation. All the while, Bruce treated the home with a powerful dehumidifier to ensure no moisture remained.

This couple had been considering waterproofing their Reed City, MI basement for quite some time. Since they had plans to sell the house in the future, the couple knew they would be paying to fix it at some point; so why not do it sooner and reap the benefits. After a combination of positive experiences – a recommendation from their neighbor and a conversation with a representative at a cottage show – the couple finally decided to give Ayers a try and waterproof their basement.
The couple’s main concern was the water seeping through their wall cracks. Besides the puddling on the floor – the leakage was having another undesirable effect – the water was staining the blocks on its way down the walls. BrightWall panels allowed the crew to drain the leakage and hide the water damaged walls at the same time. The panels were attached in front of the block walls so water could flow behind them and into a drainage system that rests at the foot of the wall. The couple was so pleased to have clean, waterproof walls that they’re considering foundation work from Ayers, as well.
