Renee’s crawlspace has always let water in. She has owned the home for 11 years and recently put it up for sale. She had a buyer but the sale fell through because of the state of the crawlspace, so she called Ayers for an inspection. Our crew determined that CleanSpace would be the perfect solution.
CleanSpace Wall System is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along basement and crawl space walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth. Damp air takes more energy to heat and cool. Cutting down on the moisture in the crawl space, in turn, will cut down on how much it costs to heat or cool the home.
Renee was ecstatic that water is finally staying out of the crawlspace. She was so happy with Ayers, she wants another quote for other services.
Our customer called with multiple cracks in his basement wall. There wasn't much water coming in, but there was some - and that's the right time to fix the crack. Otherwise, water will degrade the concrete as it continues to leak in, further widening the crack and letting even more water in, and so on and so forth.
We used FlexiSpan to seal the crack; FlexiSpan is a flexible sealant that moves with the crack as the wall naturally shifts, keeping it sealed. A small drain in the concrete below the crack keeps water directed away from the basement floor, and the basement stays dry.
Sometimes a crack in your foundation is just a crack. But more often than not, it's a sign that something much bigger is wrong.
This time, it was the latter. We were called for a foundation repair but discovered that much more work was needed, and the homeowner decided to just take care of everything in order to ensure that the basement stays dry all the time, rather than try to fix problems as they arose.
We installed WaterGuard (pictured) with LawnGuard outlets, a TripleSafe sump pump, a SaniDry dehumidifier, the WellDuct window well drainage system, and power braces to strengthen the structure of the basement.
Sally has a poured concrete foundation in her Harrison, MI home. Horizontal cracks were beginning to emerge, threatening the integrity of her home. She called Ayers for an inspection and we determined that PowerBraces would be the best solution for her.
PowerBraces are steel supports that secure to the joists above the foundation. They evenly distribute the weight of the home, strengthening the foundation over time. Sally was grateful that we could provide her with a more stable home to live in.
Jennie and Tom's home was built in 1949, and was built atop a crawl space. They use their crawl space for additional storage, but the cold air that was coming through the floors was terrible. The floors were constantly freezing. The couple called Ayers for an inspection and our crew determined the couple would need the CleanSpace Wall System, as well as rim joist insulation.

The job went off without a hitch, and Jennie was looking forward to warmer floors in the winder. Tom and Jennie were able to move their belongings back into the crawl space and know everything will remain cool, dry, and safe.
