David was on the hunt for a solution to the water intruding in his basement where the floor and wall met so he called up Ayers. After we completed a thorough inspection in his basement it was settled that our WaterGuard System would take care of the water. The WaterGuard System is a drainage system placed below the basement floor along the perimeter to ensure water is collected here and directed to the sump pump rather than ending up as puddles on the floor. This system is concealed with concrete and once it dries it will blend into the space!
Most homes come equipped with s sump pump. Without these pumps, the access flow of water would have nowhere else to go but stand still and collect on the basement floor. Instead, these pumps divert the water back outside, keeping the inner space safe and dry.
Some homes experience unavoidable flooding and need a reliable pump on standby for when it does. That's why here at Ayers our team uses a TripleSafe pump whenever a new sump pump needs to be installed. The TripleSafe comes with two extra failsafes to ensure the water level never overwork the system. Along with its initial motor, the pump also has a backup motor and batteries on reserve in case of power outages.
Cindy was worried about water leaking into her basement and running down the seam of the floor and walls. She wasn't sure what the problem was, so she researched her options and called Ayers for assistance. We sent a crew of professionals to her home to evaluate the situation and recommend a solution. They realized Cindy's drainage pipes were clogged and suggested installing WaterGuard. Drainage pipe systems are typically placed alongside the footing rather than on top, while WaterGuard does the opposite to prevent clogging. Cindy loves having a dry home!
This home had been dealing with water issues for quite some time. Water would leak through cracks in the easily penetrable block walls and flow down to the floor and puddle. Unfortunately, the sump pump that was already in the basement couldn’t keep up with the leakage. Wanting to get back the peace of mind that a dry basement offers, the homeowner decided to give us a call.
Our system design specialist drew up a plan to capture water and force it out of the basement. A perimeter drainage system would collect water that leaked down the walls and then forced it to a new and more reliable sump pump. More specifically, the top of the line sump pump – TripleSafe. With two backup pumps, the sump is guaranteed to continue working during power outages or if the original pump becomes overpowered. The two discharge lines (seen in the after picture) also enable the system to discharge more water than the previous one-line sump. Hopefully, with the drainage and TripleSafe system working together, this waterproofing issue is solved permanently.
Charlene's Sanford, MI home was built in the 1930s and her block foundation gets water in the corner of her basement whenever it rains. She finally got tired of cleaning up the puddles on the floor with a wet-vac, so she called Ayers for an inspection.
Out crew determined that WaterGuard would be the perfect solution for Charlene. WaterGuard is a sub-floor waterproofing system that collects water that leaks through the walls and keeps dirt away from the foundation. It is installed along the perimeter of the foundation. Concrete is poured on top and regular flooring can be placed on top.
