Shirley believed she had water in her crawl space so she called our team and asked us to take a look. We did find water and so we installed IceGuard. The IceGuard Sump Pump Discharge Line System allows water to leave even when the discharge line is frozen. Therefore, this system prevents flooding even in freezing temperatures or when the snow is piled up high. Lastly, this system is totally automatic so Shirely won’t have to worry about when she should turn it on or off.
Ewanah already had a sump pump, however he wanted his basement to be protected even if his electricity went out. Our team installed TripleSafe, the perfect system to ease his worries. TripleSafe is a sump pump system that’s main goal is to keep your basement dry. This system has three pumps so that it can handle the highest pumping demands. In addition, one of the pumps is battery powered which allows it to continue to pump water even during power outages. Ewanah will no longer have to worry about his basement flooding even if his electricity goes out.
Chris owns a duplex in Berrien Springs that she will be moving into shortly. The unit she is moving into has an unfinished basement that has some water issues. There were also some cracks in the basement walls. Chris wanted a waterproofing system to keep the space dry and a product to cover the ugly walls.
To keep the basement safe and dry, we installed the WaterGuard drain system and the SaniDry XP. The WaterGuard is a drain that is installed below the floor but above the foundation to keep it from clogging. It sends collected water to the sump pump to be expelled outside the home. The SaniDry XP is a dehumidifier that can stand in a corner or in a closest to not take up space. It not only keeps the space but also filters the air!
To fix the wall, we used CarbonArmor. This system is made up of fabric straps that are adhered to the wall with a high strength resin. This stabilizes the wall and keep the home safe. Lastly, she wanted her walls covered so she did not have to look at them. We used the BrightWall Panels which are waterproof, washable, and act as a vapor barrier.
Amy's crawlspace was filled with dirt and water and was making the whole house smell musty. Shel called Ayers to come out for an inspection and we determined that in order to rid the home of the moldy smell and prevent further water damage, we would install CleanSpace Wall System.
CleanSpace is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along crawlspace walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth. This will make the air in Amy's home healthy to breathe in and smell much better. She was glad her home is a safer place to live for her and her family.
We receive a lot of calls from people as they begin trying to sell their homes. Mostly because they want to make sure that everything is as presentable as possible. The call from this listing agent was no different. The house was going up for sale, but it had two cracks in the foundation that she wanted to have taken care of first. When our team needs to repair smaller cracks in basement walls like these, we use FlexiSpan sealant. The sealant is double layered, with the first being injected into the crack to seal it up permanently - no matter how the wall shifts or moves over the years. The layer on top of that is a drainage layer. Any water that does somehow permeate the initial seal will be directed to the new drainage point that the team installed at the foot of the wall; You can see the darker shade of fresh concrete where the system was installed in the after photo.
