Bonnie, a pre-existing customer of Ayers, found that her crawl space had quite an awful smell that appeared to be seeping into the rest of the house. Bonnie contacted Ayers, and a System Design Specialist was sent out in no time! The team at Ayers concluded that mold had developed from a high moisture level. Thus, the team at Ayers suggested installing CleanSpace and Mold-X.
Mold-X is a treatment applied to where the mold has formed or may form and will eliminate all traces of the mold. While the mold was destroyed, the crawl space still needed to stay dry to keep the mold away. Thus, CleanSpace was installed, which utilizes a heavy-duty plastic liner that lines the entire crawlspace. The liner creates a moisture barrier and will prevent any moisture from getting into Bonny's crawl space! After everything was installed, Bonnie could breathe fresh air within her home!
This basement wall had a crack that extended much of the length of the poured concrete. The crack had been leaking for some time and had been treated with a product to try to stop the water but the water just kept coming. That's when we got involved using a waterproofing solution called FlexiSpan. At the base of the wall where the crack is present, a small drywell is dug out, a few gallons in volume. Drainage stone is added to the well. Then we add a small wall flange along the base of the wall and cement over the well. On the wall, CleanSpace fabric covers the crack creating a barrier with directs any incoming water down the wall and into the drywell below the concrete floor so that the moisture can leech back into the soil without ever been seen or puddling on the floor. Even small wall leaks can be big problems. With FlexiSpan, they don't have to be.
As water was seeping into her home, Carole sought a solution for her egress window. Carole decided to contact Ayers and set up an inspection for her home. Ayers sent out a System Design Specialist to conduct an inspection, where he determined that a new window enclosure would solve her issues! Carole decided to install a SunHouse Enclosure; it would provide a better seal and stop water from getting into her home! After working with Ayers, Carole no longer had water in her basement!
This home, over 100 years old, had sagging floors and a noticeable drop around the staircase. The homeowner was concerned about the bounce in the floor and wanted to address it without causing any cracks or cosmetic damage. Before the repair, the basement showed signs of uneven floors and sagging supports. After the work was completed, new steel posts were installed on concrete footings to reinforce the main beam and reduce the floor bounce. The posts were carefully positioned to avoid any existing wiring or ducts. The result is a stabilized floor with improved support, meeting the homeowner's needs without causing any visible damage.
Charlotte noticed the water was leaking into her basement from the seams of the floor. She was unsure where it came from or how to resolve the issue, so she researched her options online and called Ayers for assistance. We sent specialists to her house to evaluate the space and suggest a solution. They recommended and installed WaterGuard, an advanced drainage pipe system to reduce clogs. Drainage pipes often clog because they sit alongside the home's footing, while WaterGuard sits on top and bypasses the mud and rock layer. Charlotte feels more comfortable with her new system!
