Of the fifteen years since Cathy D. moved into her home in Mason, Michigan, the last five were especially difficult because of terrible water issues in her basement. After heavy rains her basement would become severely flooded. That is when she called Ayers Basement Systems for help. When inspecting her basement, they found some very unique conditions that would require some adaptation of their current interior basement drainage tiles to work. Typically, WaterGuard drain tiles are installed on top of the footing, but her home had been built with uncommonly thick footing. The crew then opted for an alternative method, which consisted of installing the drain by the interior edge of the footing to capture ground water, and a flange against the wall to collect any water seeping through the block walls. BrightWall panels, which fit snuggly into the drainage system, serve as a vapor barrier and help brighten up the stained basement walls. Cathy was very pleased with the knowledge, professionalism, and cleanliness of the crew and even more pleased with the results. Her basement was put to the test several times since then, by storms and snow melt, and her basement remained dry, clean and comfortable. Before the rep, Keith Bond, arrived, I had received an introductory packet with his bio and photograph as well as literature explaining the various processes the company uses, so I was prepared when the rep arrived to discuss my nees. Terry Ortez and his crew installed a waterproofing system in our basement yesterday. The team arrived on time, were professional, and were conscious of dust and dirt as they laid down runners to reduce tracking it in hallway. We have dreaded rain because it meant endless trips of ShopVac vacuuming and emptying. We haven't had rain yet but I'm looking forward to not having to vacuum it up after when it does rain!

We had a basement waterproofing system installed Dec. 2 & 3, 2014. The crew was great. They worked quickly and efficiently. I was not home when the work was done (my boyfriend was) so when the location of the discharge changed, the crew leader was willing to speak to me on the phone to explain everything to me. He also answered every question that came up during the process, came back after hours to pick up our paperwork when I was able to be home, and dealt with our horrible neighbor. Prior to the work being done, Tia was able to work with us on the financing available through MSUFCU. The interest rate provided through Ayers and MSU was over 10% lower than through our credit union. Since the work has been completed, we now use our basement daily as it has become a livable space. I would highly recommend Ayers. You get what you pay for.

I wanted to let you know what a superior crew you sent to install my Ayers Basement drain. Dillion, Ben, and Matt are three very thoughtful and courteous young men. They took extreme care with all my property. In addition, Dillion proved to be very knowledgable and capable of solving problems when he discovered the "discharge" had not been planned for. Even with a tight perimeter and lake limitation, Dillion was able to find a solution that satisfied all of us. The young men out of their way to assist me with a piece of furniture and some leftover rock for my driveway. They can come back to work at my home anytime! Thank you.

I would like to commend the employees of Ayers who were involved in the extensive basement/crawl space project at The Jean Bradford Kline Senior Center. Our building is old, and it was well past the time to address water issues when we first contacted Greg Carey. He put together an excellent presentation to show our Board of Directors and members to help them understand what we would need to do to fix our multiple water problems. Dillon Birchmeier and his crew did an excellent job, worked quickly and efficiently, and were very porfessional. They took time to explain to members who asked just what they were doing, which we appreciated. They were professional and personable. Greg stopped by over the course of the project to answer questions that I had,and keep abreast of the progress. We are still waiting on the concrete raising, but understand that weather has been a factor in delaying that part of our repairs. I met the Ayers rep at the MSU Lansing Home Show and set up an inspection. A year ago I had contacted 4 other companies and none of them were interested in the job. Ayers had exactly the technology needed to fix things. I was VERY impressed with the foreman (Evan) and assistant (Austin). They were here twice; once for garage repair and once for deck piers. 2 other helpers were in attendance at various times and did well. Evan was very knowledgeable about the project and the options and instilled a lot of confidence. He and his crew worked smoothly and constantly, exhibiting an extremely positive work ethic. Both Evan and Austin quickly tackled physically demanding jobs and kept at them until satisfactorily completed. It was a pleasure to have young men such as these do the work and to be able to relax and know it was going to be done correctly. The jobs were a bit unique; a concrete block garage collapsing into the creek was stabilized, and a large deck that had tilted was restored to level and made secure. The deck overhung a steep creek bank and required some creative, difficult work. Evan and Austin are definitely valuable assets for the company. The crew attended to all details in a very systematic fashion. They cleaned up all that was expected of them. The quality of the work appears to be top notch.

This note comes with great appreciation for the quality work done on my damp and wet basement of 30 years. The three men that did the work deserve a round of applause!!
