Kim and Matt, homeowners of a 1940s house in Webberville, MI, were concerned about bowing walls and uneven bathroom floors, signs of foundation issues, and potential safety risks. After contacting Ayers Basement Systems, a free inspection revealed water intrusion in their crawl space. To address these concerns, Ayers installed Shotcrete to reinforce the foundation walls, SmartJacks to stabilize the floors, and CleanSpace to encapsulate the crawl space, preventing moisture issues. A TripleSafe™ Sump Pump was also added for reliable water management. Now, Kim and Matt have peace of mind knowing their home is stable, secure, and comfortable once again.
Gayla was looking to seal off her sewage pipe as it was leaking down the wall. She decided to contact us at Ayers Basement Systems and have an inspection done. The team at Ayers determined that the BrightWall system would be perfect for the situation! BrightWall utilizes rigid plastic sheeting that is waterproof and creates a vapor barrier! Any drainage from the pipe will go behind the system and to the drain on the floor!
Cara and Lee built an inclosed sunroom a few years ago to replace their back porch. Recently, the windows and doors have been sticking, the floors have been sagging, and cracks have appeared in the walls. The different issues they were encountering are usually caused by settlement issues, so Cara and Lee called our team for help. We installed helical piers to stop the settlement and overtime bring the foundation back to its original level. The helical piers were installed deep into the soil underneath the foundation for a quick installation and permanent solution.
The cracks on the foundation walls of this Bremen, IN home were the first signs of a compromised wall structure. By the time we showed up, the walls were bowing due to soil pressure.
We immediately installed these GeoLock wall anchors to help prevent further bowing. These anchors are installed with one plate on the inside of the wall connected via a cable to another plate that is anchored in stable soil around the home. Wall anchors not only provide immediately stability to the walls, we can tighten the cable over time to straighten the walls.
Those white squares you see are covers we install over the steel anchors so they're not an eyesore.
We received a call from this customer about his rental property. He was interested in having his crawl space encapsulated. There was no system in place at the time, so the crawl space was left vulnerable to the outside world and all the problems that come along with it. Not to mention, a dirt crawl space in the basement can be a bit of an eyesore.
The goal of crawl space encapsulation is to create a barrier between the space and all things that would do it harm, specifically moisture and mold. Both water vapor and ground water can pass through exposed earth and into your crawl space. The added moisture will hang around your home, raise humidity, and then invite mold to join. To protect this crawl space, the team used our CleanSpace system. The system installed used two products: our drainage matting and the CleanSpace vapor barrier. The matting prevents water from becoming trapped in the space, while the durable vapor barrier keeps water vapor and humidity from entering.
