Ayers Basement Systems Before & After Photos

Brian realized the support beams underneath his home were decaying from rapid mold growth. He knew this must be fixed, so he called Ayers for help. We sent a crew of experts to examine the issue and recommend a solution. They suggested CleanSpace, an antimicrobial lined vapor barrier applied in one piece to the walls and floors of the crawl space. This encapsulates the area to prevent moisture entry and mold growth. Brian is happy to have a clean and dry crawl space!

Amanda's home in Casnovia, MI, was built in 1900 and needed crawl space encapsulation to eradicate the musty smells and dampness. She called Ayers after discovering we specialize in crawl space repair solutions. Our team concluded from an inspection that CleanSpace would be perfect. CleanSpace is a heavy-duty plastic liner that creates a barrier between the moist soil and the home. The liner covers the crawl space floor and walls. The vapor barrier it holds will prevent the buildup of moisture that leads to mold and these musty smells. Amanda's crawl space is unrecognizable as it looks and smells much cleaner!

This home had been dealing with water issues for quite some time. Water would leak through cracks in the easily penetrable block walls and flow down to the floor and puddle. Unfortunately, the sump pump that was already in the basement couldn’t keep up with the leakage.  Wanting to get back the peace of mind that a dry basement offers, the homeowner decided to give us a call.

Our system design specialist drew up a plan to capture water and force it out of the basement. A perimeter drainage system would collect water that leaked down the walls and then forced it to a new and more reliable sump pump. More specifically, the top of the line sump pump – TripleSafe. With two backup pumps, the sump is guaranteed to continue working during power outages or if the original pump becomes overpowered. The two discharge lines (seen in the after picture) also enable the system to discharge more water than the previous one-line sump. Hopefully, with the drainage and TripleSafe system working together, this waterproofing issue is solved permanently. 

Stevie needed help repairing her foundation basement wall because it was bowing and cracking. So our team installed PowerBrace, a foundation repair system that secures basement walls in place. This foundation repair system counteracts the outside pressures that cause your basement walls to crack or tilt by keeping your basement walls in place. Over time, the system can be tightened to not only secure the walls in place, but to also straighten them. 

Michael had an area of his home that was settling and it was causing cracking around the home. We used Helical Piers to stabilize the home as well as lifting it back up to the original level. Helical Piers have year-round installation and fast installation!
