This customer had a retaining block wall that was bowing inward. The block wall had multiple large cracks, once of which was a stair-step crack, which is a warning sign for potential wall failure.
We used the Geo-Lock Wall Anchor system to stabilize the wall and prevent it from bowing any further. Soil outside of the home was excavated in order to place a steel earth anchors deep in stable soil that will be strong enough to hold the wall in place. The earth anchors were then connected to the wall with a steel wall plates and secured into place with steel rods. Once installed, we tightened the system into place and the wall was immediately stabilized. The homeowner also received a tightening kit to continuously tighten the anchors as the wall shifts back to its proper position.
There were many cracks in Clay’s basement walls and when it rained the water would leak into the basement. Mold even started to grow near the floor due to the water leakage. So our team installed FlexiSpan wall crack repair. FlexiSpan is a three part process that requires a flexible sealant, a flexible strip of foam and an impermeable membrane. These three items work so well because they are not affected by pressure or any more movement in the walls. So this system will provide a permanent fix to Clay's leaking walls, preventing the growth of more mold.
Sandy and Terry B. had a large crawl space covered in fibre glass insulation that was beyond it's usefulness and that had begun to drop from the ceiling. This crawl space had a dirt floor that was uninsulated and allowing cold air and moisture to enter the space. We removed the bad insulation and added a CleanSpace crawl space liner that acts as a water barrier. We also added a drainage mat to capture any water that may gather under the liner and then funnel it to the sump pump.
Jodi called us because she had a crawl space with a musty smell and dirt floor and she wanted it closed off. We installed the CleanSpace liner which is thick and durable liner. It prevents water vapor and humidity from passing through into the crawl space. By sealing the crawl space, the odors and allergenic mold spores are kept away. We also installed the SaniDry Sedona which is a dehumidifier for the area. They keep dry air circulating throughout the area to ensure your basement is protected from excess moisture so you have a dry, clean space. It also has a small size so it easily fits in small crawl spaces.
Susan's crawl space was retaining moisture, causing dampness. After contacting Ayers, a specialist came out to examine Susan's problem. The technician decided that the CleanSpace System was the best solution.
Ayers CleanSpace System utilizes a heavy, durable plastic liner that acts as a vapor barrier. This system lines the crawlspace eliminating moisture in the air. CleanSpace also contains antibacterial properties that prevent the growth of mold and bacteria.
Susan could now enjoy her home without worrying about moisture problems. Not to mention, the CleanSpace System will reduce Susan's cost of heating and cooling as the house will maintain a temperature more efficiently!
