The customer’s home used to be a garage but then had several add-ons. The home was placed on three separate concrete slabs, some of which were starting to sink. It seemed that water from the yard was washing out the soil underneath the concrete slab, which was causing the settling issue.
We started by removing the carpeting in the rooms in order the install the PolyLevel system. This system worked to raise and level out the concrete slabs while dealing with the weak soils below that were no longer able to hold the weight of the home above. We drilled multiple small holes into the concrete slabs in order to inject them with a polymer material that expanded to lift and level out the concrete. Once injected, the system only needed about 15 minutes to fully cure and the slabs were then stabilized and lifted to their proper level.
The homeowner in Bangor, MI had a concrete block wall that had moved a few inches and was starting to bow. The home suffered damage from a tornado and a few other unforseen circumstances. The homeowners wanted to use this house as their retirement home so something needed to be done.
Our professional team installed PowerBraces to support the basement wall and allow for potential straightening over time. The PowerBraces patented system allows for the tightening of the wall to improve the condition of the wall over time. The beams are zinc coated making them resistant to corrosion, reduces abrasion and wear, and creates a non-toxic surface. The beams also have a clean cut apperance. The PowerBrace system utilizes a joist reinforcement method which distributes the load of the home, evenly as to not damage your floor system.
Thanks to the PowerBrace system, the homeowners wall is well on its way to being fixed!
Thelma needed to get rid of the water entering her basement so she called our team. We installed SuperSump in addition to some other systems. The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System can handle high pumping demands better than normal sump pumps. In addition, it will alert you when water levels are too high and has an airtight lid to prevent any unwanted moisture or pests from entering.
We did work on Shirley’s home a couple of years ago, installing the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier and an exterior discharge line to keep her basement dry. She was absolutely thrilled with the work Ayers did. Our Ayers crew went back out for one of our regular proactive service visits, and noticed there was still some slight water intrusion in the crawl space.
We spoke with Shirley about the issues we found, and she wanted us to fix it immediately. Our crew determined that she would need a new sump pump to deal with the constant water intrusion her home was experiencing. The good thing was that we could connect our new TripleSafe sump pump to the preexisting work we had done.
The TripleSafe sump pump system utilizes three pumps in order to remove excess water from the basement. The second and third pumps are in case of emergencies so the basement can remain dry, even when the power goes out.
Shirley loved our crew and was so happy that Ayers was so proactive in her service. She would never have noticed the water in the crawl space. Shirley could not be more pleased with the work Ayers completed.
Sharon was sick of the bouncy floors that started due to her poor foundation stability. She called Ayers for foundation help and we had a crew check out these issues to develop the best plan. From this inspection our System Design Specialists were able to recommend SmartJacks. These SmartJacks will raise the floors to their original position, stabilizing the home and eliminating the bounce in the floors she hated. This is a supplemental support system made of steel columns that are connected to a solid base in the ground that will provide great strength and stability. Sharon is now assured of her home's safety!
