Louise and her husband were trying to buy a new home in Grand Ledge, MI, but they had some major concerns about the crawl space. During the home's inspection they discovered the crawl space had rotten floors, mold, and there was no vapor barrier. They made the right call by trusting Ayers System Design Specialists to come and inspect these issues for possible solutions.
Ayers professionals decided the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier was a viable solution as it would prevent the excess moisture that causes mold and bacteria growth, that leads to these rotten floor issues. CleanSpace is a moisture vapor barrier that uses a stronger, thick plastic liner that runs along basement and crawl space walls in order to keep them dry. Our vapor barrier solution will be more cost effective in the long run for their heat and cooling bills and will last for decades, as the liner used will not rip easy.
This couple was thrilled to get these issues with their crawl space handled before they officially settled into their new home!
Mark called Ayers after having dealt with pesky water leaks in his basement for a while. After having a professional eye take a look, it was determined that Ayers WaterGuard, TripleSafe Sump Pump System, and our SaniDry XP Dehumidifier would be the best solution for him.
WaterGuard is a below-floor drainage system that keeps water and dirt away from your foundation. It runs along the perimeter of your basement and concrete is poured over top to conceal the drain. You can also install regular flooring over top to get the finished look, if you desire. The TripleSafe has three sump pumps that work to keep water out of your basement. The first pump gets most of the water out on its own but the second is there for backup or in case more help is needed. The last pump is battery-operated, meaning it will turn on during power outages. Lastly, with the SaniDry XP Dehumidifier, this system will ensure the air remains clean and dry as it removes ten times the water from the air than a regular dehumidifier.
Mark was thrilled to have these water issues resolved with these waterproofing systems in place!
John and Patty noticed different signs forming in their home, pointing towards a problematic foundation. The couple called Ayers to find a solution before things got worse. After an inspection of their home, the Ayers team believed that GeoLock Wall Anchors would be perfect for the job. GeoLock Wall Anchors create a pulling pressure on the wall that will bring it back to its original position and permanently stabilize it. The system will stop the foundation from bowing and provide a permanent solution! With these anchors installed, John and Patty's foundation will no longer cause them problems!
Denise realized that his foundation had been shifting and that his crawl space was accumulating moisture. Denise decided to call Ayers to explore his options, and a System Design Specials was sent to his home for an inspection. The Ayers team concluded that multiple foundational and waterproofing systems were needed to address his problems. One of the products installed was CleanSpace which utilizes a durable, heavy-duty plastic liner that lines the crawl space. The liner created a vapor barrier preventing moisture from entering the house. Instead, the water drains behind the liner and funnels into a drain system. CleanSpace not only cleaned up Denise's crawlspace, but it will also help him save money as his home will heat and cool more efficiently!
Kelsey was on the search for a bigger window to replace the current one in her basement. She saw that Ayers sells Egress Windows so they decided to make the call. We sent out a crew for an inspection and it was agreed that she would love the Egress Window.
There are many benefits to having an Egress Window installed and the main one being they are much larger and allow for a quick and easy exit in the event of an emergency situation. They are also waterproof so they will withstand heavy rainfalls without leaks. With these windows being larger framed, they allow more natural light to fill the room which will open up the space more. These windows are especially nice for when you want to have guests over or if someone wants to make their room in the basement.
Kelsey was happy with how the Egress Windows transformed her basement into a regular living space!
