They recommended the installation of an egress window to provide a safe and easy escape. Egress windows are designed with built-in stairsteps and a polycarbonate safety cover to prevent accidents. Tim and Tabitha have lived in their Bancroft, Michigan, home for about seven years with their 12 kids. They were looking to convert their damp basement into something that is dry, clean, and livable. WaterGuard effectively captures wall and floor seepage before it damages your basement floor. The WaterGuard drainage system sits on the top of the footing inside the basement so the pipes do not get clogged by mud or anything else. Water enters the system via inlet holes and flows through the drainage pipe to the sump pump. The sump pump then effectively removes the water from the home.
