Bridget was concerned about her basement wall that leaked water through small cracks. She determined Ayers had the proper waterproofing solutions, so she called us. Our system design specialists determined from an inspection that FlexiSpan would resolve this issue. First, the team sealed the minor slits with a flexible sealant. Then, they applied the FlexiSpan layer over the wall. We even add a subfloor dry well below to collect water if it permeates through the wall again. After a questionable foundation repair to this Cement City, MI home, the owners began to notice that they’re basement didn’t look quite right. There were cracks in the foundation and front porch. To fix this settling foundation, the crew used SmartJacks. The jacks are usually used to repair the floor above sagging crawl spaces, but thanks to their adjustability, the jacks were perfect for this low basement ceiling. Similar to the installation process for crawl spaces, the SmartJacks were attached to previously installed reinforcement beams in the ceiling and lodged into the concrete slab at floor level. The SmartJacks will reduce the amount of stress on the foundation and stabilize the ceiling back to its original position.

A crawl space moisture problem called us out to this Cement City, MI home. The owner thought there might be moisture in the crawl space, but he wasn’t sure. He did know that he wanted to waterproof the entire area and his basement, too. After completing the waterproofing, the team installed 3 vent covers for the new crawl space. The benefit of a cover is that things are kept out. Critters, moisture and air, hot or cold, can enter through an open vent at any time. Our vent covers create an airtight seal that will keep this newly encapsulated crawl space clean and protected.

We headed to David's Cement City, Michigan, home, to seal up his crawl space and prevent moisture buildup. To resolve the moisture issue, our crew installed CleanSpace, a heavy-duty plastic liner with a vapor barrier. The barrier prevents damp soil from wreaking havoc in the crawl space down the line.
