Lynette needed solutions to tackle the foundation issues she was running into that were causing her block foundation wall to start bowing. She made the call to Ayers for our foundation repair options. Our System Design Specialists determined GeoLock Anchors would work best after conducting a free inspection. GeoLock Anchors have an interior anchor plate that sits on the inside of the foundation wall. Then a steel cable is drilled through the plate, the wall, and the soil to a predetermined distance from the home. Lastly, another plate is anchored to the other end of the cable in stable soil. This system will prevent further bowing caused by soil pressure. Lynette was relieved to have a foundation repair system installed that will keep her home safe!

Jeff was looking to get better support structure posts in his crawl space to help support his home better, so he called up Ayers. Outside pressures are typically the main culprit that cause your basement walls to crack or tilt. This system will not only secure the wall in place, but it will also straighten them over time. The PowerBrace consists of steel beams that stretch the length of the wall and are installed in the floor at the base of the wall then are attached to the joists above the wall.

These homeowners called because the block foundation wall in their basement was failing. One of the first signs of a bowing wall is horizontal cracking, which is what we found in this home. Without a proper solution to stabilize the wall, the soil surrounding the home will continue to put pressure on the wall and the cracks will continue to increase in width, resulting in a failing wall.

Our team of experts installed the Geo-Lock wall anchors to stabilize the wall and hopefully move it back to its original position. To install this system, we started by digging a hole in the soil outside of the foundation wall where we placed a steel earth anchor. A steel rod was drilled into the wall and was then connected to the anchor in the ground. Finally, we installed an interior wall plate over the rod in the basement and we replaced the backfill and sod outside.

This system immediately stabilized the basement wall and has the ability to be tightened over time to shift the wall back to its original position.
