Frank's living room floor was slanted for as long as he could remember. He tried buying store-bought floor jacks, which only worked briefly. He became frustrated with the problem, so he researched his options and called Ayers for help. Our crew of experts visited his home and decided the SmartJacks supplemental support system was the best solution. SmartJacks are a system of floor jacks that are far more durable and anchored two feet underneath the surface to increase load-bearing capability. Frank can't believe how level his living room is!
We received a call from some homeowners from Grand Rapids that was having issues with their squeaky floorboards, so we drove to their home to see for ourselves. After inspection we decided to install our advanced SmartJack system. The SmartJack is a support system used to stabilize and level the floor joists in a crawl space. This system can support up to 60,000 pounds. The SmartJack system is placed on strong concrete fillings that have replaced the soil in that small location underneath the SmartJack. Now this homeowner will not have to worry about bad floors ever again.
Josh's front porch is shifted and it is moving away from the home. The brick column at the edge of the porch is cracking and the area around it is settled. Josh is worried that the porch will pull on the house and make more issues than there already is. We helped them out by installing Helical Piers which can have sections added to reach the hard soil it anchors into. The pier will stabilize the porch as well as possibly returning it to the original position. The pier system has fast year-round installation too so the homeowners will not be disturbed.
The smart jack system is a foundation repair product that provides a permanent, adjustable solution. Made from galvanized steel, smart jacks will never rot or crack and can support more than 60,000 pounds. Once installed, the base of the steel is covered with concrete to provide additional stability. By waterproofing the basement as well, Ayers Basement Systems was able to provide a long-lasting solution for this West-Michigan family!
This Grand Rapids homeowner has linear cracks on the basement walls. When there is heavy rain, water enters through the cracks. He does have a perimeter drain and sump pump, but he can not finish his basement until the walls are fixed and water is not entering the area. We installed the PowerBrace Wall Repair System to stabilize the walls and possibly straighten the wall. The system is made up of steel I-beams that are secured to the joists above the wall. This system doesn't involve any exterior excavation and installs quickly with minimal disruption to your basement space.
