Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

Valentina set her water bottle on the floor, only to watch it roll to the corner of her living room. It was obvious her floor was slanted, so she called Ayers for help. We sent our team to her house to evaluate the situation and they recommended installing SmartJacks, a supplemental support system of floor jacks. SmartJacks are zinc-plated, hot dipped in galvanized steel and secured two feet in the ground to reduce load-bearing stress. Valentina feels much more balanced!

After waterproofing their home, Patricia and Glen in Watervliet, MI, noticed their basement walls bowing due to foundation settlement. Our professional team installed PowerBraces to support the basement wall and allow for potential straightening over time. The PowerBraces patented system allows for the tightening of the wall to improve the condition of the wall over time. The beams are zinc coated making them resistant to corrosion, reduces abrasion and wear, and creates a non-toxic surface. The beams also have a clean cut apperance. The PowerBrace system utilizes a joist reinforcement method which distributes the load of the home, evenly as to not damage your floor system. 

Thanks to the PowerBrace system, the homeowners wall is well on its way to being fixed! 

Our crew at Ayers decided SmartJacks would be an excellent solution for the insufficient foundation support in Joe's crawl space. These jacks are made of strong galvanized steel and are attached to the floor joists above the crawl space, and they rest on a sturdy base within the ground. This repair system will ensure that his home has a stable crawl space that won't sag or sink. This solution can be adjusted in the future for even more accuracy, potentially straightening uneven floors above!

After the homeowners noticed the stair steps cracks in the before photo on their basement walls, they called us looking for a solution. This was the second time in the last 3 years that they had searched for a bowing wall solution and this time they wanted it to be permanent. Our crew delivered with the Geo-Lock Anchor System in the after photo.

The system stops the bowing motion by countering the pressure being put on the foundation walls. As soils expand, they push the wall inwards. But Geo-Anchors hold the wall in position so it can’t bend anymore. The actual anchors are placed about 15 feet from the home and are connected to the wall plates in the after photo by steel rod tiebacks. Soil pressure put on the walls won’t cause any more movement, and in due time, the walls may even return to their upright position.
