Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

Brian and Kelli realized that their crawl space was in rough shape. Water appeared to be leaking into the space and causing an abundance of moisture. The couple decided to have their home inspected and contacted Ayers. After contacting Ayers, a specialist wasn't sent out for a thorough inspection. The team concluded from the inspection that CleanSpace would be perfect for Brian and Kelli.

The before photo shows where the leaking water had damaged, discolored, and allowed mold growth on this crawl space’s walls. Making things even worse, the leaking water had also caused musty smells to the crawl space. In the after photo, you can see the solution we provided. CleanSpace is a plastic vapor barrier that was used to cover the dirt floor crawl space. Together with the SilverGlo Wall Insulation and Froth Pak foam that are covering the walls in the after photo, water will be kept out from this crawl space permanently. 

Many homeowners avoid their crawl space as much as possible, but this may lead to an undetected plumbing leak that could cause major flooding. Upon arrival of this home we found some signs of prior leakage which is why we opted to install this system. If any water gets into the space, it will be directed to the drain and forced to seep into the soil below. If there ever was a leak, the SmartDrain is installed with an alarm system to alert the homeowner of the problem. 

To keep any other small amounts of moisture out of the space, CleanSpace was wrapped around the piers, floors, and walls acting as a strong vapor barrier. This white liner is mold resistant and extremely durable, sure to keep the crawl space dry once and for all.
