Fiona was concerned about the water draining into her basement. She knew water could cause damage to her home's structure, so she called Ayers. We sent a team of experts to examine the issue and decided WaterGuard, a drainage pipe system engineered to be clog-free and placed on top of rather than alongside the footing, was the best solution. Fiona is excited her basement will remain permanently dry!
We all know doing laundry isn’t the most enjoyable experience, but it’s probably a lot less unpleasant if you have to do it in a basement like this one. The mortar around the cinderblock walls is crumbling, letting moisture into the basement. While the owners have a sump pump, there’s no way for the water from the leaky walls to enter it; that’s where WaterGuard comes in.
Our team installed WaterGuard, a drainage system that’s laid on top of the footing around the perimeter of the basement. This piping collects water from the leaky walls and reroutes it to the sump pump, where it’s then forced out of the basement through a discharge line.
To improve the overall look of the walls, we also installed BrightWall paneling. These plastic panels fastened to the wall brighten the space, while still allowing water from the walls behind it to drain to the WaterGuard system. These panels prevent water vapor from coming through the walls and evaporating the basement, too.
WaterGuard helps eliminate the water from the leaky walls in this basement, while Brightwall paneling dramatically enhances the space. We won’t promise the homeowners that doing their laundry will be fun, but we hope it will be a lot more bearable when it’s done in this bright, dry basement.
Kathleen noticed small cracks in her block foundation walls. She realized her pump was being overworked. She contacted Ayers and we sent our Foreman Bruce to examine the issue. Bruce realized the home's drainage system was not strong enough so Bruce installed a WaterGruard drain system.
The WaterGuard system works with the sump pump to direct extra water away from the home. The outlet is underground and leads the water safely away from the home. The system is installed under the foundational floor and is completely out of sight inside and outside of the home.
Egress windows are an integral part of a finished basement, particularly if you want to use the space as a bedroom or other living space. By having windows installed by a basement company, you can be sure that they are water-tight and code-compliant.
Eugene's floor has been ruined by water damage, so she called our team. Our team installed the ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring in Eugene’s home. Made completely from inorganic material, it is not vulnerable to mold or water damage. In addition, this flooring works perfectly with our waterproofing systems. This flooring will allow Eugene to have nice wood flooring in her basement without having to worry about it being ruined by water damage.
