Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

The homeowners were noticing moisture and a mildew smell coming from their basement. If there is too much moisture in a basement that could lead to mold growth and unpleasant smells circulating throughout your home.

Our team installed the BrightWall paneling system to combat the moisture. The BrightWall system can easily transform ugly, damp basement walls into bright, beautiful walls that never need paint or other maintenance! BrightWall is designed to work with an interior perimeter drainage system. Once installed the panels will direct wall seepage down to the perimeter drain lines that carry water to the sump pump. The sump pump then removes the water from your home! 

BrightWall enhanced these brick basement walls by providing a smooth, clean finish. These panels are made of rigid plastic sheeting that's attached to your basement wall by drilled-in plastic fasteners. They're waterproof and washable, and provide a vapor barrier on the walls to prevent humidity and the growth of mold. 

The owners of this Ludington, MI home had grown accustomed to water leakage from their walls and overflow in the drainage area. After all, it had been a regular occurrence in their basement during heavy rains and snow melt, and with all the construction that was happening to their home, they didn’t have a chance to do anything about it. But since the construction was finally complete, they wanted to put an end to the leaks once and for all. The after photo shows how our crew was able to do so.

The white liner covering the walls is the CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier. Impenetrable by moisture, the liner separates the leaking wall from the rest of the basement as it escorts water down to a drainage system at the foot of the wall. The drainage system, WaterGuard, sits in the foot and wall joint around the perimeter of the basement to collect water and direct it to the SuperSump system in the after photo. Capable of discharging over 2,000 gallons of water per hour, the SuperSump will be able to stand up to any rainfall or melting snow that the basement encounters.  

This homeowner previously had our WaterGuard system installed to fix the water issue in his basement. He now was ready to begin finishing his basement and we were able to install our ThermalDry tile flooring.

We offer many ThermalDry flooring options. Some look like carpet, some look like wood, we have tile options or even just an unfinished look. All of our ThermalDry flooring possibilities are made of plastic which means they are completely inorganic so mold can't grow on them and water won't ruin them.
