After meeting with another company in an effort to solve his waterproofing issue, this homeowner knew exactly what he didn’t want in his partially finished basement. The problem was that water was seeping in at the floor and wall joint in one of the basement closets. Since the leaky portion of the wall – the bottom foot and half – had already been removed, he thought that the full wall replacement suggestion from the other company was unnecessary, and he was right.
Our crew stepped in to give the owner what he wanted. Our BrightWall panels can be attached in front of any wall and allow for water to drain behind them. The crew cut the panels to the 18 inches necessary and attached them where the drywall had been removed. Any seepage that occurs behind the wall will flow into the perimeter drainage system that crew installed at the foot of the wall before being directed to the SuperSump sump pump pictured in the after photo.
If you have an idea of how you’d like your waterproofing to look, our system design specialists will work with you to make sure your basement is protected and to your liking.
Tom and Kim's home was built in 1950 and the foundation at the crawlspace was cracked and separating in several places. They called Ayers for an inspection and our crew determined that the problem was worse than anyone realized. Our crew resolved that SmartJacks would be the perfect solution to Tom and Kim's problem. SmartJacks are steel supports that balance the foundation of the crawlspace, lifting it to its original position. They can be adjusted so the house will never shift out of place. Tom and Kim were grateful to feel safe in their own home again.
To give Keith a solution for the water leaking into his basement, our team headed to his home to install our TripleSafe sump pump system. TripleSafe consists of three pumps that fit in one durable liner. The first pump will do most of the work, the second is there if any backup is needed, and the final pump is battery-operated, so it stays on during power outages. Water damage will no longer accumulate in Keith's basement!
Whiney had inherited a Pentwater home from her aunt. She only lives there in the summers and noticed this summer that there was a large amount of water entering her basement. The sump pump she had was not keeping up causing standing water in the unfinished basement. She wants to someday pass this lakefront home onto her kid and have it last generations- but before that was possible, she needed to address the water situation.
We installed a perimeter drain, called DryTrak, to collect the water that comes in through the foundation walls and send it to the sump pump. This particular drain system gives a clean, finished appearance of a baseboard. The TripleSafe sump pump we installed for her provides 3 levels of protection to the home and peace of mind to the home owner. To keep the basement from flooding in case of frozen pipes in the winter months, installed the IceGuard which gives the water a second escape route and ensures that the water the sump pump is sending out remains outside your home. We also installed the SaniDry XP to keep the basement dry and filter the air for mold spores, odors, or dust. To help ensure the basement was dry, we installed the CleanSpace Wall vapor Barrier. This wall system gives a nice clean look while also keeping moisture out of the basement. Lastly, to keep the home supported, we installed SmartJacks. These steel posts are adjustable at any point in time, if the home needs it, which provide a permanent solution to sagging floors.
Greg's foundation was being held up by a few pieces of wood and some nails. The old block foundation was falling apart, so he called Ayers for an inspection. Our crew knew right away that shotcrete would be the perfect solution to Greg's problem. Shotcrete is a sprayable concrete that stabilizes foundation walls and fills any holes that let in unwanted water or air. It's applied through a high-pressure hose. The extra air propelling the concrete out is what makes the shotcrete able to be applied to vertical and sloping surfaces. Greg was grateful that his foundation was fixed and the integrity of his home was restored.
