Homeowners in Ada, Michigan, enlisted Ayers to update their outdated egress window to meet current code standards. After recently finishing their basement to include a kitchenette and additional living space, they wanted to enlarge the existing window to ensure proper egress and enhance the safety and functionality of the area. As a bonus, the home's value increased with the space now brought up to code.
Our customer called with water issues in their basement, but also wanted an egress window installed so once the waterproofing was done they could use the basement as proper living space. We installed a new egress window in place of the old window, bringing the basement up to code for use as a bedroom.
Max was sick and tired of worrying about water leaking into his home so he called Ayers. We sent a crew to his home for a free inspection and from this it was settled he needed our WaterGuard System. This is a sub-floor drainage system that we place along the perimeter of the basement. This will collect the water that creeps in through the walls and since we hook the system to the sump pump, the water will instead be directed here. The drain is concealed with concrete so once it dries it will be unnoticeable and carpet or other flooring can be placed back on top. Max was grateful to have a trustworthy waterproofing system installed that will protect his home's belongings from water damage!
A faulty sump pump is a guaranteed headache. Ms. Hoecker was confused because her home seemed to be fine except for the random flooding from seemingly out of nowhere.
When told the issue and inspecting the area, our foreman Bruce was certain the home's pump system was being overworked.
Bruce and his team replaced the old pump and fitted the home with a TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe has three levels of security to ensure the pump never reaches its limit. The powerful main engine keeps up with most flow unless the home is in an area with a high water yield. The second precaution is a backup motor that activates if water reaches a certain level. The third level of safety is a battery that actives if the area or home ever loses power during a flood.
Angels and Ben had issues with their basement, as there was water in the basement. While the couple did have a sump pump, it appeared it may have broken. Angela and Ben decided to call Ayers to find a permanent solution. The team at Ayers quickly sent out a System Design Specialist to thoroughly inspect their home. The inspection concluded that the sump pump broke and a new one was needed. Thus, the team at Ayers suggested installing TripeSafe.
TripleSafe is a sump pump system that houses two pumps within one liner. If the bottom pump ever runs into a problem, the second pump will kick on and aid in pumping water out of the home. Additionally, an external battery is attached to the second pump in the event of a power outage for ultimate protection. Once TripleSafe was installed in Ben and Angela's home, they no longer needed to worry about their basement flooding!
