To collect the water from the leaks in the walls, Ayers installed the WaterGuard drainage system. This specially designed piping is placed on top of the footing around the perimeter of the room, collecting water and draining it to the TripleSafe sump pump before it can make its way to the rest of the room. TripleSafe is a one-of-a-kind sump pump system with three sump pumps in one liner. One of these pumps is battery operated, so the pump can still operate in the event the power goes out, and the other pump is located higher in sump hole and works in case the first pump fails or can’t keep up. The sump pumps water out of the basement and reroutes it away from the home through a discharge line.

Cade called up Ayers looking for an Egress Window installation to improve his basement. The benefits with Egress Windows are plentiful. These are waterproof and come with a sturdy well placed around the exterior to ensure water doesn't accumulate and leak into his home. The biggest advantage however, is that they provide a safe exit in the event an emergency takes place and you need to leave the basement immediately. This is a legal requirement in many cases. The other benefit being these windows are larger than typical basement windows so more natural light will fill the space, making it appear larger.
