The owners of this Benton Harbor, MI home were more than annoyed when they would have to spend hours cleaning up water in their basement, only to have more enter once the job was supposedly finished. Luckily Ayers was able to take a load off of their back and help them waterproof their basement, saving them hours of unproductive work.
To collect the water from the leaks in the walls, Ayers installed the WaterGuard drainage system. This specially designed piping is placed on top of the footing around the perimeter of the room, collecting water and draining it to the TripleSafe sump pump before it can make its way to the rest of the room. TripleSafe is a one-of-a-kind sump pump system with three sump pumps in one liner. One of these pumps is battery operated, so the pump can still operate in the event the power goes out, and the other pump is located higher in sump hole and works in case the first pump fails or can’t keep up. The sump pumps water out of the basement and reroutes it away from the home through a discharge line.
WaterGuard and TripleSafe work well in this Benton Harbor, MI basement to continually keep water out, giving the homeowners a dry basement and a break from their mopping sessions.
Cerita decided she wanted an Egress Window to help with her finished basement look she was going for. She made the right call in letting Ayers know so they could install the window she was looking for.
The Egress Window is a larger, more inviting window that opens up your basement space more. Oftentimes it's hard to get much natural light coming into your basement with the small windows they typically have. The Egress Window also provides a safe exit in the case of an emergency situation and a well to help in the event of water leaks.
Cerita is satisfied with her new Egress Window as it makes her basement more inviting!
At Benton Harbor, the homeowner faced significant foundation issues, including crumbling areas and holes in the basement, with limited access to the crawlspace. Our team resolved these concerns by installing CleanSpace for moisture control, applying FrothPak insulation to seal cracks, and reinforcing the structure with Smart Jack assemblies. These measures effectively stabilized the foundation, sealed vulnerable areas, and ensured a safe, durable home environment.
Patti was sick and tired of the water leak issues wreaking havoc in her home so she called up Ayers for help. After our team conducted a free inspection at her home it was determined that our WaterGuard System and TripleSafe Sump Pump System would offer the best solutions. WaterGuard will provide Patti's basement with a sub-floor drainage system that will collect this water seeping in through her walls and keep it off her belongings. We conceal this system with concrete so once it dries it will blend. We also added a better sump pump known as TripleSafe which consists of three trusty pumps that fit in one durable liner and work together to keep water out. With the second and third pumps there for backup and the WaterGuard System in action, Patti can trust that her home will now remain free from these water intrusion issues!
Cade called up Ayers looking for an Egress Window installation to improve his basement. The benefits with Egress Windows are plentiful. These are waterproof and come with a sturdy well placed around the exterior to ensure water doesn't accumulate and leak into his home. The biggest advantage however, is that they provide a safe exit in the event an emergency takes place and you need to leave the basement immediately. This is a legal requirement in many cases. The other benefit being these windows are larger than typical basement windows so more natural light will fill the space, making it appear larger. Cade now has a more attractive basement thanks to this window making the space more inviting!
