The homeowners in Kalamazoo, MI noticed they had water coming through their back wall into their basement. The water was especially bad during heavy rains.
Having water seep into your basement is bad enough, but it is even worse when it is destroying a finished basement. The water came in so frequently that it started soaking the homeowners new carpet. They knew they needed to fix the problem before it ruined anything else in their basement, so they called Ayers Basement Systems.
Our professional team installed the WaterGuard long lasting interior perimeter drainage system. The WaterGuard system sits on the top of the footing in the basement in order to prevent clogging from mud or other debris. The system works by trapping floor and wall seepage before it has a chance to damage the basement in any way. Once the water is trapped in the drain it is taken directly to the sump pump. The sump pump then removes the water from the home keeping your basement nice and dry.
The before picture shows the WaterGuard system once it is put in place and the after picture shows the system after it is covered with a clean layer of concrete.
Melissa gets water entering her basement through her window after heavy rains. She also wants to turn the space in her basement into a room so she called our team. We installed an egress window and well in order to prevent further water intrusion and have the space in her basement count as a finished room. Most windows offer minimal protection against outside air entering the home due to poor insulation around the window. Egress windows will help ventilate your indoor areas and prevent unwanted allergens from entering your house. Also, egress windows provide a safe exit in case of emergency so they are required in finished basement living areas. In addition, these windows provide lots of natural light.
Unattractive, water damaged, or mold-covered basement walls can be permanently repaired by our patented EverLast finished wall restoration system. This system adds insulation and creates a clean, finished look to your basement. The surface is also washable, and EverLast even comes with a 50 year warranty. This family in Richland, MI had us install EverLast and can now fully enjoy being in their basement.
Jodi and Rick have lived in their house for years. The concrete slabs in the garage were poured in the 70s and were severely cracked and sinking. They had them lifted once before in the 90s, but it dint last very long and ended up just making matters worse. The couple called Ayers for an inspection and our crew knew we could take care of this for them easily with PolyLevel and NexusPro.
The PolyLevel system is used to repair sinking concrete by drilling minuscule holes into the slab and filling them with foam. The foam raises the slab and fortifies it to make it last even longer. NexusPro is a sealant that fills the cracks in the concrete. It is extremely withstanding to harsh weather so it will remain intact for years.
Jodi and Rick were so grateful to Ayers for finally being able to take care of this problem permanently. They can go into this winter knowing the cracks won’t destroy the driveway and garage.
The basement of this Richland, MI home was leaking through the wall where the well pipe penetrated the wall. It’s very common for plumbing pipes to cause leakage at the spot of entry due to how often they move. The before photo shows the water damage around the pipe and where it leaked down to the floor. In the after photo, the leak has been solved with the FlexiSpan System. The system works by first plugging the leak with a flexible sealant, and then another layer of polymer creates a drainage route for any water that does leak through. The drainage layer then directs water to a drain well at the foot of the wall. You can see in the after photo where fresh concrete was poured after the drain well was installed. The leaking pipe won't bother this home again.
