Lisa and her mother have lived in their Kalamazoo, MI home for a while and have been monitoring the condition of the driveway for about 2 years. Recently, they noticed it has gotten much worse. Multiple slabs in the concrete driveway were sinking and water was flowing underneath. They want to live in the home forever, so they want to take care of it the best they can. Ayers was more than willing to be the one to take care of the problem. After our crew came out for an inspection, they determined that the driveway would need a combination of NexusPro and PolyLevel.
NexusPro is a sealant that fills the cracks in the concrete. It is extremely withstanding to harsh weather so it will remain intact for years. The PolyLevel system is used to repair sinking concrete by drilling minuscule holes into the slab and filling them with foam. The foam raises the slab and fortifies it to make it last even longer.
Lisa and her mother were ecstatic with the work done by the Ayers crew. They are so happy they took care of the driveway now, before the winter freeze comes through and makes it worse. They were thrilled with how the driveway looked after the installation.
Verbina called Ayers because her basement had cracks throughout all the walls, constantly letting dirt inside. The home was built in 1956 and was vacant for a few years. Our crew came out for an inspection and determined Verbena would need ShotCrete to seal off her foundation.
Shotcrete is a sprayable concrete that stabilizes basement walls and fills any holes that let in unwanted dirt, water, or air. It’s applied though a high-pressure hose. The extra air propelling the concrete out is what makes the shotcrete able to be applied to vertical and sloping surfaces.
Verbina was thrilled with the work completed by Ayers Basement Systems and our crews. She was so happy she doesn’t have to deal with the dirt and dust in the basement anymore and can actually use it.
Heather planned on creating another bedroom in her basement. Just half of her basement was finished but building code requires all homeowners to have an egress window in all finished basement bedrooms for safe exit in case of an emergency. Most standard basement windows are not insulated and let in cold air. They are definitely not leak proof and during a flood will allow water inside your basement. We installed an egress window in Heather's basement which also allows more natural light and fresh air in to make the space feel larger and more inviting.
Terri had some water intrusion in her basement during and after heavy rains. There was one spot in her basement where water collects behind her wall, leaving the spot wet, and excess water gets pushed out through a crack. She did not know where the water was coming from but it could have been an issue with the window right above the leak.
We installed a new basement window to prevent leaks and make sure the seals are safe. We also installed FlexiSpan Wall Crack Repair to cover the cracks where water was getting behind the wall and where the water leaked out. This sealant is flexible so it can move with the wall and ensures that the crack is sealed. It installs smoothly over the wall so it can easily be covered with basement finishings!
After purchasing their Kalamazoo, MI home, this couple discovered water pooling in the basement—an issue that hadn’t been disclosed during the sale. Planning to move in 3-5 years, they wanted to resolve the water intrusion before listing the property. Ayers installed a comprehensive waterproofing system, including BrightWall panels to protect and brighten the space, CleanSpace to seal out moisture, WaterGuard to channel water away, and a TripleSafe sump pump to ensure reliable drainage. Their basement is now dry and protected, offering peace of mind today and a selling point for the future.
