Ayers Basement Systems Before & After Photos

Trevor had noticed a high level of moisture in his crawlspace and was worried about mold growing. He called Ayers for an inspection and we knew CleanSpace Wall System would be perfect for Trevor's crawlspace. CleanSpace Wall System uses a thick plastic liner along crawlspace walls to keep them dry for decades longer. This customer contacted us because they had a couple walls in their basement that were bowing. We all know bowing walls probably aren't a good sign and we wanted to get this taken care of as soon as possible. We offer many different solutions for foundation walls depending on the area outside your home, the results you are expecting, and how bad the wall is. 

For this home we were able to install our PowerBrace system on one of the walls. PowerBraces are a great option because they allow the wall to be straightened over time as the system can be tightened as the wall moves back to it's desired position. This system has a very noninvasive isntall and will not disturb the lawn or anything outside the home. These also usually take less than a day to install, so it's a great option and gets the job done.

The crawl space in this Baldwin, MI cottage was not a place you wanted to be. It was wet and growing mold, giving the area an overall damp feeling. Since crawl spaces are the lowermost points of a home, the "Stack Effect" explains that air flows in your home from bottom to top, meaning that the mold in the crawl space can be easily breathed in by those upstairs, causing a serious problem.

The best solution in this case was to install a liner to seal off the space. Not just any liner, however, a CleanSpace liner. CleanSpace is a durable liner that stops water vapor and allows for drainage to the sump pump. As an added benefit, this liner has an antimicrobial additive in the material, preventing mold growth. This liner was the perfect solution to transform this crawl space into a healthy, usable space.

We encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace vapor barrier and installed a Smart Sump pump and a SaniDry dehumidifier, as well as closing the vents and putting better doors on the entrances, in order to seal off the crawl space from ambient moisture issues.
