Our customer called in need of an egress window installation, with a few caveats. He had already dug the hole, and the window needed to be as big as possible while remaining centered between electrical wiring and duct work. We installed a custom size egress window and well.

He had worked with us a few months back, so he was familiar and comfortable with our services. For small wall cracks like these, our crews use FlexiSpan – a two-layer polymer sealant. While one layer plugs the cracks, the other provides a drainage route for any water that does leak through. The owner won’t have to worry about that seepage puddling on his basement floor, though. Below the wall, a drainage system was also installed into the foundation floor to catch any leaking water. Rotting drywall will no longer be a problem in this basement.

Cathy R. called because she was very concerned about the foundation issues she was experiencing in her home. Our team of experts visited her home and found a common warning sign for block foundation wall failure: horizontal & stair-step cracking. Without proper care, Cathy’s wall will continue to bow inward due to the excessive pressure on the wall from the soil surrounding the home. In order to prevent the wall from failing our team decided to install Geo-Lock anchors. These wall anchors work by installing galvanized steel anchors in the soil away from the home and then connecting them to steel wall plates on the foundation wall with steel rods. This system will keep the wall intact with the ability to tighten the rods in order to straighten the wall over time. The Geo-Lock anchors will ensure your home is stable so you never have to worry.

This customer has a partially finished basement. Not only do building codes require an additional exit besides the door, but they require an exit  that you can actually fit through. These windows are large enough to be an emergency exit and also add to the nice and finished look of the basement. In addition, it allows more light to enter the basement, making it a more comfortable living space and not feel like a dungeon. Egress windows are sealed  and watertight so that they will not leak. This eases the mind of homeowners so that they will not have to worry about ruined furniture or carpet. 

Patrick had a concrete slab under the garage that has dropped and was causing major issues due to the weight of the roof. The middle section of the 2 stall garage has sunk the most and needed to be supported so that the roof and home would be supported. We used Helical Piers to stabilize the garage structure and raise it back to the original level. These install fast and effectively and can be done year-round!
