Mary called Ayers looking for some waterproofing systems since she had no sump pump or system to put an end to the water leaks she would experience after heavy rains. After a free inspection we were able to determine she needed our WaterGuard System along with our TripleSafe Sump Pump System.
With WaterGuard, this is a below-floor drainage system that will collect the water leaking from her basement walls. It is placed along the perimeter of the basement. Since Mary had no sump pump we decided to install TripleSafe which consists of three pumps in one durable liner which work together to keep water out. The first pump will get most of the water out, the second will run if assistance is needed, and the last pump is battery-operated so it will turn on during power failures.
Mary was relieved to get these pesky water issues tackled permanently!
The before photo shows the damage caused by the leaking basement wall. Constant rain had let moisture into the basement and caused discoloring of the wall. On top of that, the wall had turned into a mess to look at. The wall was starting to crumble inwards, note the slight curves in the before photo. The solution in the after photo is our CleanSpace Wall System. CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that will hold back any moisture that passes through foundation walls. Water that does continue to leak through the foundation wall will flow down behind the barrier into the perimeter drainage system below. The wall will no longer look like it did in the before photo.
This customer called us because the wall in his basement was literally bowed in. A lot of people don't realize the pressure that soil puts on the foundation walls. Overtime the pressure of the soil outside the basement can cause your walls to bow, crack or push inward which can be a very serious problem.
Our team of experts installed our Carbon Fiber straps to fix the bowing wall. These straps are almost impossible to stretch and therefore can be glued to block walls to keep the center of the wall in place. These straps are also a great option is there is limited room for digging outside the home or inside the home. We do not suggest this item if your basement walls have started to slide in at the top or bottom though.
Aaron's basement has a very small window in it that does not let in much light and he called us about an Egress Window. The window is large and has a well with steps for a safe exit in case of emergencies. Since the window is large in size, it also lets natural light into the area making it seem larger and cleaner.
Hannah was in serious need of a waterproofing system in her basement since she had no sump pump and water was leaking in, causing damage to her belongings. She knew that Ayers offers waterproofing solutions so she gave us a call. After a free inspection at her home our System Design Specialists recommended we install our WaterGuard System, our TripleSafe Sump Pump System, as well as IceGuard.
We started this process by installing WaterGuard which is a sub-floor drainage system that rests on top of the foundation footing and collects any water seeping in. Concrete will be poured over the system as well to conceal it. Then we installed TripleSafe since this is a three pump system that fits in one trusty liner and keeps water out of the basement. The first pump will do most of this job while the second will run if assistance is needed, and the final pump is battery-operated, meant for power outages. Last of all, we installed IceGuard for the exterior discharge lines to protect them from freezing or clogging in cold weather.
Hannah was glad she called professionals to permanently tackle these frustrating water leaks!
