We received a call from these homeowners specifically asking about our PolyLevel system. The walkway leading up to the front porch of their Hopkins, MI home was unlevel and in need of a solution. As you can see in the before picture, the concrete located next to the garage doorway was sinking well below the other slabs. PolyLevel was injected beneath the settled concrete until it expanded enough to fill the voids left by the failing soil. Once the polymer was expanded to its full capacity, it began to harden and stabilize the walkway. Since PolyLevel is less invasive than other methods for raising concrete, the installation was relatively quick and completed in just one day.
You too can rid yourself of that sinking feeling; call us today and get a free quote for using the PolyLevel system to raise your concrete!
For many of us, the idea of walls closing in on us is a terrifying thought. It’s even more terrifying when there’s the potential for that to come true in your own home.
The walls of this basement in Hopkins, MI were adorned with stair-step cracks and diagonal cracking at the corners—both signs of wall failure. When one of the walls in the basement started to bow, or buckle in the middle, the homeowners knew that things were getting serious.
Our team visited the home and got to work stabilizing the walls using the Power Brace System. These steel beams are fixed to the floor joists, and can be tightened over time to help straighten the walls. The zinc coating on the beams makes them resistant to corrosion, so you can be sure they’ll do their job for years to come.
A husband and wife called us about their crawlspace that was wet and gross. We drove to their property to solve the issue. After inspection we decided that CleanSpace technology would be perfect for waterproofing this crawlspace. CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick plastic liner that fits to the crawl space to completely seal the home from the earth. Polyester cord reinforcement allows for a lot of durability, to make it last longer than the home will. This liner also contains an antimicrobial additive to prevent mold. These homeowners should never worry about their crawl space ever again.
Charles has a finished basement that has been colder than normal lately, so he decided to check for problems. Eventually, he called us for a free quote. Our team determined that it was his basement window that was giving him air flow issues. We recommended an Egress Window installation and Charles agreed. Now he doesn't have to fear going in his chilly basement.
We received a call from a homeowner in Alto, MI that was having problems with her basement walls. She wanted our professional help, so we drove to her property and installed Flexispan technology. FlexiSpan is a crack sealer for concrete that is used often times on basement walls. First, a dry well is made in the floor below the crack on the wall. Then, the crack in the wall is ready for a FlexiSpan seal. FlexiSpan contains three layers, the first is a urethane based sealant, followed by a polyurethane ether foam strip, finished off with a polyurethane sealant. Any water drains into the dry well below the FlexiSpan seal. Now this homeowner won't have to worry about wet basement walls ever again.
