Rona had uneven floors and her windows and floors were sticking. She called our team and so we installed SmartJack, a system produced to halt your sagging floors. Floors above crawl spaces are vulnerable due to the moisture and soils in your crawl space. The Smart Jack system is a permanent fix to these issues. It uses steel columns, threaded rods and a solid base to address any issues your crawl space may introduce to your floors. Installing this system usually takes less than a day and it provides immediate stabilization.

A customer wanted an egress window and well installed in order to prevent water intrusion and turn her basement into a liveable space. So our team installed them both. Due to poor insulation around the window, windows usually offer minimal protection against outside air entering the home. Egress windows will help ventilate your indoor areas and prevent unwanted allergens from entering your house. Also, Egress Windows provide a safe exit in case of emergency so they are required in finished basement living areas. In addition, these windows provide lots of natural light.

Diane decided to investigate her yucky crawl space. Once she realized it was an unprotected mess down there, she recruited Ayers for professional crawl space encapsulation. We determined CleanSpace as the best option. This antimicrobial liner has a vapor barrier that will prevent excess moisture buildup. A surplus in moisture allows mold and bacteria to thrive in these tight spaces. Our crew installed CleanSpace along the floor of the crawl space. This area is spick and span now and well-protected!

The fieldstone walls in the before photo were allowing water to easily come into this basement. Since he was concerned about the possible effects of the saturation, the owner gave us a call for a solution. Our cure for all things moisture or water vapor related is the CleanSpace vapor barrier. CleanSpace is a plastic liner that won’t allow mold to grow or moisture to pass through. As you can see in the after photo, at the foot of the wall there also sits a perimeter drainage system. Before the installation was completed, the crew covered the system with concrete. While CleanSpace won’t stop the wall from leaking completely, it will direct the water from those leaks into the Waterguard drainage system for discharge. Neither water or its vapor will reach the inside of this CleanSpace system.
