Water can cause a lot of damage in a basement -- not only structural damage, but also damage that is clearly visible. That's why this Lansing, MI family had us install our patented BrightWall basement wall panels. BrightWall is a plastic sheeting that's attached to your basement wall by drilled-in plastic fasteners. Its bright white color opens up your basement for a space that you'll want to be in. BrightWall is completely waterproof and washable, preventing the passage of water vapor and humidity into your basement. No need to worry about these panels ever rotting or collecting mold!
David and his wife are in their forever home and have been for many years. They wanted to home to last and to do that there were some things they needed to have fixed. They had some basement walls that were starting to bow and buckle so we stabilized the wall with CarbonArmor. The CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcing System is made out of carbon fiber straps that are secured to the wall and will keep the wall from moving any further.
Steve owns a duplex he rents to his daughter and worries about the condition of the building. He already spent money on restoring the garage with a different company, but saw that it drifted away from the main home again. Steve called Ayers and had our Foreman Evan inspect the home on his behalf due to him being out of state. After listening to Steve's concerns, he drafted a treatment plan that would reintroduce stability to the home's foundational soil and prevent further drifting.
Evan and his team installed a Helical Pier system to stabilize the home. The piers are installed by excavating the outer perimeter of the home and driving screw-shaped steel beams into the ground at an angle, past the weak soil, and into the frim ground. The tops of the beams are fitted with loadbearing concrete blocks that the entire home rests on.
Alice was having water issues within her basement and didn't understand where it was coming from. She decided to contact Ayers and set up a home inspection. The Specialist that conducted the review determined the cement slab by the house was settling, causing various issues. The team suggested using PolyLevel to raise and level the cement.
PolyLevel is a process where foam is injected below the cement through small holes in the concrete. The foam is waterproof and expands under high temperatures, allowing the installation specialist to level and stabilize the concrete! Alice was thrilled with how much better the concrete looked and even happier with the purpose it would serve!
Margaret loves hosting family for the holidays, but the stale smell wafting through her house was not helping. She knew she needed to get the issue fixed, so she researched and called Ayers to learn about our waterproofing solutions. Our professionals stopped by her house to inspect the situation and recommend a solution. They found a damp crawl space beneath her home and suggested installing CleanSpace, an antimicrobial vapor barrier. CleanSpace is applied entirely to the crawl space floors and walls to eliminate moisture. Margaret loves her fresh-smelling home!
