The bowing walls in the basement were corrected by CarbonArmor reinforcement strips. The strips are adhesive and use a strong resin. The carbon fiber straps reinforce the wall and are a permanent way to prevent further cracking and bowing.

To stabilize the foundational soil beneath the structure, Evan and his team installed a set of Helical Piers around the home's parameter. The piers are screw-shaped rods that are driven deep into the ground, past the weak dirt, at an angle, and capped with concrete blocks that the home rests on.
