Foundation Repair Photo Album: Waterproofing and Stabilizing a Saint Johns MI Basement

A few years ago Doug noticed some stair step and horizontal cracks in his basement walls but didn't think much about it. The cracks have since gotten worse, with some of the walls starting to bow. He removed some drywall to check for more cracks and found that there was also moisture in the basement causing some mold to grow. Doug wanted to stabilize his home and remove moisture to keep his home and stored belongings safe. We had just the solution to keeping his home standing and clean. We used GeoLock Anchors to keep the wall from moving any further, WaterGuard to keep out any water that might be getting into the space, and the SaniDry XP dehumidifier to remove excess moisture from the basement!

Straight Across

If there is a crack running horizontally in the area, it could get worse due to the ground pushing in on the walls. This is a sign that ;you should get your cracked foundation wall repaired and keep the home standing!

Mold and Moisture

If there is mold in your basement , it is likely that there is moisture in the air. A dehumidifier and waterproofing system will keep out the unwanted water/moisture to make sure the home is safe and the mold can't spread.

Safe and Secure

GeoLock Anchors stabilize cracked and bowing walls so they can not move any further. They don't take up usable space in the basement either so the fix is not an inconvenience.

Earth Anchors

Finished Product

To fix the moisture problem we installed the WaterGuard and a dehumidifier that will work with the already existing sump pump to keep the water out. Once the drain is installed, concrete is restored so their is no unsightly drain in the basement!
