Unlevel walls in the Basement
Wendy has had some cracks and bowing walls. You can see by the level that this wall is clearly not straight like it should be.
Cracked and Exposed
This wall got so bad that the blocks started to separate and leave a space in between them which can allow water, moisture, and cold air in. This is also a bad sign since the walls are starting to push inwards.
Cracks for Days
This wall has a multitude of cracks, as you can see from the long lines across the wall and the staircase cracks that were "patched." It has also started to crack around the window which is not good because that can lead to leaks.
Say NO to DIYs
The dark lines along the wall are DIY solutions to fill and fix cracks the cracks. These are not strong enough and do not fix the problem. It is a temporary solution and allows for the walls to get worse. If you see cracks, don't try to patch them just give us a call!
Power Braces are the Right Choice
Power Braces are made of steel beams so they are very strong and won't budge. These beams keep further damage from happening and can be tightened to try to straighten the wall back to its original position.
Reinforced Joists
We secure the beams of the Power Brace to the joists. This allows for more strength to the beams and for them to be adjusted as needed. We reinforce the joists with steel brackets so that there is no room for mold or rotting of wood.
