Foundation Repair Photo Album: A Home in Charlotte, MI is Stabilized With Wall Anchors

Our friend Lisa from Charlotte, MI was having issues with the wall in her basement bowing. She knew the wall was bowing but had little idea of its total movement. Lisa became extremely concerned and called us in search of professional help. We came to her home and prescribed a solution consisting of 14 wall anchors. Wall anchors are perfect for returning a wall back to its original position and reinforcing the entire foundation. We stabilize the home with a steel rod that runs from the wall anchor to an anchor placed in the exterior of the home. Once we place the plates we have permanently stabilized the basement. With this solution in place, Lisa can rest assured knowing her wall will eventually return to its original position.

Making the Dig

Using excavation equipment, a trench was dug so anchors could be placed in the ground.

Installing the Anchors

These steel anchors have been placed in the exterior of Lisa's home. They will be buried with fill dirt and become invisible to the eye.

Finalizing the Installation Process

Now the final tightening adjustments are made on the wall plate assembly. These anchors are minimally invasive as they do not take up precious space. With these wall anchors in place, Lisa can rest assured knowing her wall will not make any further movement. In fact, these wall anchors will eventually help return the wall to its original position.
