Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Eliminating Standing Water in Mulliken, MI Crawl Space

Shaun had only lived in his home for two years and faced severe water issues. He noticed a flowing river going through his crawl space during heavy rains. He decided to reach out to us at Ayers Basement Systems to find a permanent waterproofing solution. An inspection by the team at Ayers determined water was flowing through areas in the foundation. The team suggested the CleanSpace system as it would provide the waterproofing Shaun was looking for!

Ayers Initial Inspection

As shown above, moisture was prevalent in the crawl space, and our mission was to eliminate any further moisture builds up or water leaks!

Preparing for CleanSpace

Shaun opted to install the CleanSpace System for his crawl space. Before the liner could be placed, Shaun also opted to implement drainage matting. Drainage matting is the black dimpled mats, as shown above, and will force any water in the crawl space to drain to the sump pump. This system is essential in eliminating water build-ups!

Placing the CleanSpace Liner

Lastly, the liner was placed down and encapsulated the whole area. This system utilizes a heavy-duty plastic liner that creates a vapor barrier preventing water from entering. Water will now drain behind the liner and funnel through the mats to the sump pump. Shaun was thrilled that he no longer had to worry about water issues!
