Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Stopping Squeaking Floors in Leslie, MI

Michelle’s floors squeaked with every step anyone took around her house. The sound was unbearable to Michelle. Along with the squeak, her crawl space was in need of a serious upgrade. The dirt floor space was causing moisture, which is most definitely contributing to the squeak, and looked dirty and unkempt in contrast to the rest of her nice home. To help with the moisture our team installed CleanSpace, an uninterrupted vapor barrier to restrict moisture. To help with the squeak and sagging floors our team installed SmartJacks, a system to stabilize floors from the bottom floor to the top. Michelle can walk on her floors with no sign of any squeaking and won’t have to look at any dirt floors in her basement. Her space can be repurposed for storage now that there are no signs of any dampness, moisture, or dirt.

Drainage matting goes underneath CleanSpace to aid in water drainage. Also visible in this picture are SmartJacks a system installed to halt your sagging floors. Floors above basements and crawl spaces are vulnerable due to the damp nature of the lowest floor. The Smart Jack system is a permanent fix to these issues. It uses steel columns, threaded rods, and a solid base to address any problems your basement may have. Installing this system usually takes less than a day and it provides immediate stabilization.
