Insulating the crawl space floor keeps cold out
This photo shows the TerraBlock™ Crawl Space Floor Insulation System being installed. Designed specifically for crawl space floors, this product seals and insulates your crawl space keeping cold air from entering your home through the dirt floor.
Drainage matting keep water moving to your sump pump
Adding a crawl space liner directly to your dirt floor means that any water trapped underneath will never make it to your perimeter drain and definitely not to your sump pump. The raised dimples on our CleanSpace® Drainage Matting gives the water flooding into your crawl space a channel underneath your crawl space liner so it can reach your sump pump.
Wall insulation just as important as floor insulation
We insulated Elliot's crawl space walls with rigid, high-performance foam called SilverGlo. It stops air leaks and can't absorb or be destroyed by water.
Wall, floor crawl space insulation key to crawl space health
A combination of the SilverGlo foam insulation on the walls, TerraBlock floow insulation, and drainage matting in this crawl space, not only insulates but channels water to the sump pump.
Dehumidifier in the crawl space keeps moisture to a minimum
Elliot went one step further and added a SaniDry dehumidifer to his crawl space to ensure that humidity is kept at an optimal level to prevent mold growth and keep the space dry.
