Moisture Coming In
It's clear from the coloration on the walls and floor along that moisture is getting in from several areas, one main entry point being the vents.
Damp Wood Signals Problems
Dampness in the crawl space are cause for concern. If the wood remains damp it can lead to rot and/or mold growth. The issues need to be addressed.
Crawl Space Vents Create Issues
The vents around the house were meant to circulate air under the home. Instead, they were inviting warm humid air in to be cooled and deposit moisture under the home.
Vents Sealed
In addition to vent covers on the outside, SilverGlo insulation was used to fill the opening in the wall and ensure greater energy efficiency.
Dimple Matting For Water Flow
Dimple matting on the ground underneath the CleanSpace material helps water to flow freely to the Sump system without becoming trapped and puddling.
Rim Joists Sealed
We spray foam the rim joists throughout to help seal the space completely and give us ultimate control over moisture and humidty.
Finished Space Is Clean And Bright
The finished crawl space is much cleaner, healthier, safer, dryer, and warm. The homeowners will see a huge difference after making this investment in their home.
Piers Are Wrapped For Complete System
To provide ultimate protection for the home, even the piers are wrapped in our CleanSpace material and the material extends up the walls rather than sitting loosely on the ground.
Sanidry Sedona, Sump System Remove Water
The SaniDry Sedona is an incredibly efficient and energy star rated dehumidifier that helps keep the space at safe humidity levels. Moisture removed from the air is deposited directly into the sump system which removes the water from the crawl space and deposits it a safe distance from the home.
