It isn't uncommon for us to get called out to a house during a pending real estate deal. Either the potential buyer wants peace of mind, the seller wants to make sure everything is in good shape, or the inspector sees something fishy. That last one was the case here, where a home inspector emerged from a crawl space recommending a call to Ayers to take care of the two inches of water in the crawl space. We used the CleanSpace vapor barrier system and drainage matting to protect the crawl space from any water that might enter (and therefore protect the house above from the crawl space) and installed cross tile to a Super Sump to direct and remove water from the crawl space entirely.

Drainage Matting Allows Water Movement

By laying down drainage matting between the CleanSpace and the crawl space floor, we add another layer of protection to the crawl space. The matting prevents water from 'sticking' to the CleanSpace and encourages it to drain.

SilverGlo Insulation is the Proper Choice for Crawl Spaces

As much as mold loves fiberglass insulation, it hates SilverGlo. That's because SilverGlo is inorganic and water resistant, so it gives mold nothing to feed on. It would be like going to your kitchen and trying to eat a Tupperware lid. Don't do that though.
