Implementing our WaterGuard Drain
WaterGuard is a French drain system that spans the basement perimeter and sits below the basement floor and above the home footing. The drain stays out of site and will catch water from the foundation and funnel it to the sump pump!
Utilizing the Exceptional WellDuct Drain
Since water was leaking through the windows, the WellDuct drain was suggested and implemented. This system sits just below the window, catching water leaking through the well, and funnels it directly to the WaterGuard drain!
The TripleSafe Powerhouse
Mike had no sump pump, so he opted for the TripleSafe unit. This system utilizes three pumps with a one-liner for absolute protection. The bottom two pumps will work together to pump water out of the home consistently. The third pump is attached to an external battery, allowing it to run even if the power goes out!
Cold Weather Precautions
Since Mike lives in the cold state of Michigan, there is always a chance that lines can freeze; thus, the IceGuard fitting was installed. If water outside in the pipes freezes, the holes in the fitting will allow water to flow out of the home. Thus, preventing a flood from happening!
Finalizing the Job Site
Once all the systems were set, installed, and secured, our crew could finish everything up. The sump pump and draining system were covered with concrete; anything dug up was filled and cleaned. Mike was thrilled that water would no longer be an issue he needed to deal with!
