Digging the Trench
WaterGuard is a French drain system that sits below the basement floor and above the home's footing. The location of the drains ensures it is out of the mud zone and won't get clogged, unlike other drains. Removing the cement allows the drain to be placed.
Implementing the WaterGuard System
Once the trench was dug, our crew could begin placing the drain. WaterGuard is installed around the entire basement perimeter, ensuring the drain will catch any leaking water. Any water caught by the drain will go to the sump pump and out of the basement!
Covering the System
Once the drain was set and installed, our crew could cover the system back up. Concrete is poured back over the drain removing it from view. Elizabeth and Trenton were thrilled they had found a solution for their basement!
