Janice's Basement Prior to Waterproofing
This is a look at Janice's basement before we went forward with our waterproofing system installations. She had a sump pump that was failing at its job as puddles would form after water intruded through the walls. Our systems will take care of this issue!
Installing our WaterGuard System
We started by installing our WaterGuard System for Janice which as pictured here is installed below the basement floor and along the perimeter. This is placed on top of the footing of the foundation to prevent clogging and drainage stone is placed here as well.
After Installing WaterGuard
After the drainage system is installed below the basement floor we pour concrete over to conceal the drain so it is out of site. Once the concrete dries it will blend in with the space even better! It is hooked to the sump system to ensure the water it collects will be directed to the sump rather than puddle on her floor.
TripleSafe Sump Pump System Stops the Leaks
Next we added a better sump pump system for Janice called TripleSafe since it contains three pumps that fit in one durable liner. The first pump will keep most of the water out but the second is there in case the first fails or needs more help. Then the last pump is battery-operated meaning it will run if the power fails.
IceGuard for More Protection Outside her Home
We even added further protection to her home's exterior discharge lines. In harsh weather it is common for these lines to freeze or clog so this antifreeze fitting with slotted openings will eject water and prevent this from happening.
Complete Look After Waterproofing Installation
This is now what Janice's basement looks like after we made our much needed waterproofing installations. Once the concrete dries it will blend with the rest of her space. She was very relieved to get a permanent resolution to keep her home dry!
