Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Waterproofing Solutions for Sunfield, MI Home Dealing With Leaks During Heavy Rains

Jane was concerned with the safety of her home when she noticed water leaking in after a particularly heavy rainfall. Anxious to get this taken care of quickly, she called Ayers for solutions. After the free inspection we conducted in her home it was determined by our System Design Specialists she could use our WaterGuard System, our TripleSafe Sump Pump System, IceGuard, and our LawnScape Outlet.

Before Waterproofing Installations

This is what Jane's basement looked like prior to the waterproofing solutions we installed. You can see some of the water damage and the inefficient sump pump system that wasn't doing the trick anymore!

Installing our WaterGuard System

When installing our WaterGuard System, we have the drainage system placed in the sub-floor around the perimeter of the basement and on top of the footing of the foundation. When water leaks through the walls and meets the floor, this system will collect the water and direct it to the sump pump system.

WaterGuard System After Completion

After the WaterGuard System is installed in the sub-floor of the basement, we pour concrete over this to conceal it. If Jane wants she can have regular flooring installed over this, especially if she is looking to finish the basement. The gray port pictured here is the WaterGuard Port which makes service checks quick and easy!

TripleSafe Sump Pump System to the Rescue

Next we installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System which consists of three pumps in one durable liner. The first pump will get most of the water out while the second will run if backup is needed. The final pump is battery-operated so it will turn on when the power fails.

IceGuard for Added Protection

IceGuard is a great additional installation to make because it will prevent your discharge lines from freezing or clogging. This is installed outside your home and will eject water when a secondary escape route is needed for this water to flow. The slotted openings you see here are what allows the water to flow through to prevent the freezing or clogging in cold, harsh weather.

LawnScape Outlet

Finally, the last product we installed was our LawnScape Outlet. This is an underground extension that enables downspout water to escape. This was added onto the discharge line for more protection in keeping your home clean and dry.

Here we have the final look of Jane's basement after all of the waterproofing installations were made. The WaterGuard System and TripleSafe Sump Pump System are now working together in conjunction with the IceGuard and LawnScape Outlet installed outside, to keep Jane's home clean and dry permanently!
