Before Egress Window and WaterGuard Installation
Here is the before photo of James's basement before the Egress window and WaterGuard installation. As pictured here, you can see how small the main basement window is. This area will open up more with Egress Windows.
Beautiful Egress Window for Basement
Here is the finished look of the Egress Window from the outside. The Egress Windows are perfect for basements as they are larger, so they let in more fresh air and light. This window is a great safety precaution also because it includes a safe exit option in the event of an emergency.
WaterGuard Catches Water Leaks
The WaterGuard System pictured here is a drainage system that keeps water and dirt away from your foundation. The water will instead flow to your drain pipe and be directed to your sump pump system. The gray WaterGuard Port is there to make service inspections quick and easy as well!
TripleSafe Sump Pump System Saves the Day
Next, the TripleSafe consists of three pumps in one liner that work together to protect against water intrusion. The first pump does most of the job but the second is there in case backup is needed. The third pump will run in case the others turn off in emergency power outages as it is battery-operated.
IceGuard Installation for Extra Protection
The last part of the job was installing IceGuard for James. This was to prevent the wintertime freeze-up of discharge lines. This anti-freeze fitting system is installed outside your home and ejects water away from your foundation in the event that the sump pump discharge lines freeze or become clogged.
