Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: An Unfinished Basement with Flooding Problems

To solve the issue Bruce and his team installed a new TripleSafe sump pump, a WaterGuard drainage system, and IceGuard modifications to help the home fend off water consistently and effectively.

TripleSafe

The home's original sump pump was not up to par with the demand that the water yield was placing on the home. Bruce and his team wanted to equip the home with something stronger so he used a TripleSafe sump pump, a trusted model here at Ayers. TripleSafe is a trusted sump pump at Ayers due to its three levels of security. The first level is a powerful motor that has a high water capacity. The second level of security is a reserve motor that activates if the water surpasses a certain level on the initial motor. The third level of security is a backup battery that only activates if the home losses power.

WaterGuard

Due to the location of the home, there was no way of managing the amount of stress placed on the drainage system without performing extensive work. to counter this problem, Bruce installed a WaterGuard drainage system into the basement floor. WaterGuard is a system of draining channels that are connected to the home's sump pump. The channels are installed under the foundational floor and covered with poured concrete, making it invisible to the naked eye. The channels lead to an outlet pipe that takes the water far away from the home's foundation, depositing the water in a safe location.

IceGuard

The couple did not see signs of flooding when they purchased their home. Bruce knew that this was a sign of seasonal floodings, and the water was too much when it thawed in the spring. To remedy this issue duce installed an IceGuard modification to the home's pipes. IceGuard is a modification that attaches to the pipes of the home's sump pump. Without the mod ice can build up when the pump pushes water through the system, risking buildups and ruptures. IceGuard is a simple attachment that requires no energy to function year-round.
