Fitting a Protective Lining
To protect the home's crawlspace and rim joist Blade and his team used a CleanSpace lining to better protect the home. Moisture is a major risk factor to a home's health, inviting microorganisms into the home that consume the material found in most homes' supportive frameworks. CleanSpace is an antimicrobial lining that is placed on every flat surface in the crawl space. The lining acts as a barrier that allows water and moisture in the home to evaporate without causing any further damage.
New Sum Pump
The home's initial sump pump was not powerful enough to keep up with the demand that the water around the home had made. To help the home keep pace, Blade and his team fitted the home with a TripleSafe sump pump. TripleSfae is trusted by Ayers Foreman due to its three levels of protection that ensure the pump runs around the clock. The first level of protection is a powerful motor with a higher capacity than many available sump pumps. The second level is a reserve motor that activates if the first motor is overworked. The third level of security is a backup battery that is only active when the home loses power during a flood.
Rim Joist Reinforcement
The home's slopping floors were a sign that the supportive framework was comprimised. To better support, the home Blade and his team decided to fit the home's rim joist with a set of SmartJack piers. SmartJack piers are metal bemas placed along the rim joist at strategic points for maximum support. The bottom of the beam is anchored into the ground with poured concrete. The tops are fixed with load-bearing joints that are secured to the rim joist, The entire system's height is adjusted till there is constant pressure being applied. SmartJack prevents the home from losing more support and serves as a permanent fix to the issue.
