Underground Draining to Help the Sump Pump
To help stop the water from overpowering the newly installed sump pump, Randy and his team installed a WaterGuard draining system. WaterGuard helps control the flow of water if the sump pump ever becomes overwhelmed. Waterguard is installed beneath the foundational floor and consists of a series of channels that all direct the water to an outlet that takes the water to a safe distance from the home.
Setting Up the Home with a Powerful Pump
Surprisingly, the home had no pump system. Ayers uses a trusted brand of sump pumps known as TripleSafe. Randy and his team trust the pumps due to their three levels of safety to keep the pump running. The first level is a powerful motor, one of the strongest available. The second level of precaution is a reserve motor that activates, should the original motor ever become overworked. The final level of safety is a backup battery that activates if the home loses power during a flood.
Protecting Material with CleanSpace Lining
To protect the home from any potential moisture damage, Randy and his team installed a CleanSpace antimicrobial lining to the endangered areas' surfaces. The lining provides a barrier between the home's vulnerable material like wood and items in storage, forming the mold spores that water and moisture invite when inside the home. The mold can weaken the home's support structures as well as permeate the air and cause risk to the residents' health. CleanSpace keeps all these issues from affecting the home, giving the owner peace of mind.
