Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Waterproofing a Grand Haven MI Home

Sarah called us becuase she was experiencing water in her basement when there was heavy rain. The water was only coming in at one area of the basment and it was getting through where the walls met the floors. They had a finished basment and didn't want there to be any damage. We installed the WaterGuard System and the SuperSump Premier Pump System. The WaterGuard is a French drain that is designed to be installed below the floor slab, resting on top of the foundation footing. This keeps the drainage system out of the "mud zone", where drains can clog. It collects water that seeps through basement walls and drains it to your sump pump. The WaterGuard is installed with minimal invasion and all concrete is restored after installation. The SuperSump Premier Pump System is great at keeping the basement dry for extended periods of time, even in times of heavy water intrusion and works perfectly with our drainage systems.

Water Problems

This is the wall and the closet where most of the water is leaking in when there is heavy rain. Since the basement is finished, the water could cause serious damage but we came up with a solution that will save their basement.

Installing WaterGuard

Here is the WaterGuard System that collects the water and drains it to the sump pump. The floor will be restored with concrete after the installation is finished.

This is the SuperSump that we installed to stop the flooding in the basement and to keep it out of the house.

Extra Protection with IceGuard

We installed the IceGuard Discharge Line System. This system opens up a secondary escape route for water in the winter. If the water froze and in the line, the sump ump couldn't work properly which could cause flooding. This makes sure that no matter the temperatures outside, your house is safe!

Where to Put the Discharge Pipe

This shows where the discharge line will go. We measured it out to make sure that it was far enough away that the water wouldn't go back towards the house. The is fair enough away that the water is being pushed away from the house and won't be an issue.

Finished Product

This is the finished installation with the sump pump and the WaterGuard. The floor was restored to how it was. The home owners basement is now protected from heavy rains and leaks!
