This Basement has Become a Swamp
Bill is facing a very concerning problem; his entire basement is flooded with water. This basement that once was a beautiful place, is now in disarray. To avoid damage, everything had to be relocated.
The Old Sump Pump Needs to Go
The old sump pump system shown here sure could use an upgrade! With all the water present in Bill's basement this sump pump can't keep up and has had the chance to shut off. This sump pump is also missing several of the key elements of an effective sump pump system.
Finding & Fixing the Problem
In our assessment we found that this section of wall was where all the water was coming from. We removed the lower portion of the drywall and installed WaterGuard near the wall. The new cement will lighten in color as it dries, eliminating color difference.
Choosing the Right Sump Pump
Triple Safe to the rescue! The Triple Safe sump pump system that was installed contains the key missing components that Bill's previous sump pump did not have, an air tight lid, floor drain, pump stand, and a pump alarm. These are the essential features needed to help keep a basement dry.
Restoring the Condition of the Walls
To make Bill's walls look beautiful again, we installed the EverLast Finished Wall Restoration System. This paneling not only fixed the current condition of Bill's damaged walls, but it also ensured his basement is safe from any type of water leak in the future. The paneling replaces the bottom 32" of the drywall and is extremely durable. It is also inorganic, meaning Bill will not have to worry about mold growth.
Treating the Air Quality
Bill elected for us to install the SaniDry XP, a high-performance dehumidifier and filtration system. In Bill's basement, the SaniDry will help prevent mold and reduce musty odors, giving his home dry healthy air and total comfort.
Leaving the Basement More Beautiful Than you Found It
The EverLast wall will work with the WaterGuard system that was installed to ensure water can efficiently exit Bill's home. Not to mention, this paneling looks great and ties in well with Bill's already finished basement!
